Nuclear Medicine Physician
Nuclear Medicine Physician | Overijssel, NetherlandsIntro
This hospital is a welcoming and skilled institution that focuses on the person behind the patient. It believes in the inherent strength of individuals. As an independent and forward-thinking hospital serving the West-Achterhoek region, it understands its strengths. Ambitious in its goals, it strives to be among the top regional hospitals in the Netherlands in terms of patient orientation, quality, and innovation. It proudly showcases its achievements and progress.
Where are you going to work?
The Nuclear Medicine department is an ambitious unit in private practice, consisting of two nuclear physicians in Gelderland (2.0 FTE). Both physicians practice the full scope of nuclear medicine at both locations and each has a specific area of focus. The number of examinations increases annually by an average of 10%, primarily due to the growing use of PET/CT at SKB (with examinations performed at SKB and reporting at both locations). Additionally, myocardial perfusion scintigraphy and radionuclide therapy are carried out at both hospitals, alongside routine gamma camera studies. There is very active participation in multidisciplinary patient meetings (MDOs). The department maintains a strong relationship with radiologists at both locations and is integrated as a single independent nuclear medicine unit within the Medical Specialist Cooperatives of both hospitals.
The department is seeking a driven and enthusiastic nuclear physician or radiologist who fits well within the team. It is important that the new colleague masters all aspects of the field, including knowledge of rare 'orphan examinations' and new applications. The ability to independently initiate and implement new techniques is also a significant advantage.
